Marjorie Tallman Scholarship

About This Scholarship

This scholarship is given in honor of Ms. Marjorie Tallman, 1907-2000, who is well remembered as a dedicated and inspiring Social Studies and Economics teacher during her 40-year tenure at Stuyvesant. When she started, in 1932, she was one of only two female teachers at Stuyvesant High School. This scholarship is given in the amount of $5,000 each to two students.

Applicant Criteria

  1. Students must demonstrate academic excellence and passion across all disciplines.
  2. Students must demonstrate financial need.
