Frances Lopez ’89

Frances Lopez has dedicated her professional career (27 years) to working with underserved children and families throughout NYC. Frances Lopez is trilingual (English, Spanish and ASL) and has utilized this language proficiency in her work with communities. Currently, Frances is Senior Director of Family Support Programs at Children’s Aid. Frances is a licensed clinical social worker. Born and raised in East Harlem, Frances was naturally the “social worker” in her family and this inspired her life’s calling. She is deeply passionate and committed to giving a voice to the most disenfranchised and vulnerable communities. Frances is looking forward to serving on the Board of Directors and to contributing to the SHSAA Board’s efforts to continue to recruit the best students across the city and to strengthen the school’s programs.
