Below you can find the agenda for the weekend.
Saturday, October 12, 2019
3 p.m. – Day event at Stuyvesant High School
Come back to Stuyvesant! There will be tours and student demonstrations at the school earlier in the day. Details can be found on the Stuyvesant Alumni Association website.
Each class member (whether or not you are at the reunion) is asked to send a 2-minute (1 to 2 double-spaced typed pages) story about a Stuyvesant memory. The story should be in the style of The Moth, as heard on NPR.
Your story could be about a memorable course you took, the day you got into trouble, your travel travails to get to Stuyvesant, a dance at Julia Richman, your ineptness or great skill at the lathe, how you got into Stuyvesant, how it prepared you for your next stage of life, or your success in one of the sports.
A committee will pick a selection of the stories to read aloud at the reunion. Whether you attend or not, your story could be selected for a live reading.
All the stories will be compiled in a volume and available to all 1959 graduates.
Please send your submission to Class Marshal Sheldon Krimsky ’59 at [email protected].
If you would like to sit on the Selection Committee, please contact Sheldon Krimsky ’59.
6 p.m. – Dinner at Villa Mosconi
Join your classmates for an intimate reunion dinner at Villa Mosconi! You’ll reminisce about your Stuy days over old-world Italian cuisine and debate over who wrote the best Moth-style memory of high school.
The daytime event at 345 Chambers St. is included with the cost of dinner.
Villa Mosconi is at 69 MacDougal St. in New York, not far from “New Stuy” and nestled just north of Houston Street.
Please note: Cash bar only for this event.
Sunday, October 13
10 a.m. – Brunch at “Old” Stuyvesant
The Class of 1959 is invited to attend a class brunch at “Old Stuy,” 345 E. 15th St., at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.
