In accord with Bloomberg Beta’s mission as an early-stage venture capital firm committed to investing in companies that make business work better, Maria Kiskis ’94 will interview BitTorrent creator Bram Cohen ’93.
Cohen is a computer programmer, best known as the author of the peer-to-peer (P2P) BitTorrent protocol, and the first file-sharing program to use the protocol, also known as BitTorrent. He is also the co-founder of CodeCon and organizer of the San Francisco Bay Area P2P hackers meeting, and was the co-author of Codeville.
Kiskis is a seasoned business executive with 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, and general management in organizations spanning all stages of the business life-cycle. She is currently an advisor at Venture/Science, a multi-family office investment platform.
Food and drinks will be provided, and there will be time to reconnect, network and get to know other Stuyvesant alumni in the Bay Area.
