Class of 1969 – 50th Reunion

The Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association cordially invites the Class of 1969 to their 50-year reunion weekend to be held on June 21-23, 2019. Below you can find the agenda for the weekend.

Friday, June 21, 2019

5:30 p.m.: Hornblower Dinner Cruise – $90 per person

“Alive After Five” Happy Hour Cruise for the class of ’69! Only 50 seats (with tables reserved) are available for this cruise around Manhattan. The cruise includes food, non-alcoholic beverages, and live music.

Cruise boards from Pier 15 at 5:30 p.m. and cruises from 6 to 8 p.m.

10 a.m.: Walking Tour – Free

There will be a free two-hour walking tour of lower Manhattan. The tour will be led by Joshua Kraushar, a retired social studies teacher and now NYC tour guide. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Wall Street Charging Bull on the north end of Bowling Green. The tour ends at the food court in Brookfield Place, across West Street behind the 9/11 Memorial, for lunch on your own (free for the walking tour.)

1 p.m.: Formal Reunion Program organized by SHSAA – $193 per person

Come back to Stuyvesant! The Formal Reunion Program begins at 1 p.m. at the “New” Stuyvesant (345 Chambers St., New York, NY 10282.) The school will be open for all alumni. Current students will act as tour guides throughout the building and offer performances, and the Principal will discuss new developments at the school. Look for the Class Of ’69 display!

This option is available for purchase without dinner for $10 per person.

6 p.m.: Dinner 

Following the activities at the “New Stuy,” the Class of ’69 is invited to enjoy dinner at The Princeton Club (15 W. 43rd St, New York, NY 10036) and a joint party with the Class of ’68. This event includes a cocktail reception, dinner, dessert, and two drink tickets.

Rooms at The Princeton Club are available for those who wish to stay overnight.

Please note: $193 price in effect until June 5. Tickets purchased from June 6 to June 14 will be $215.

Sunday, June 23, 2019

10 a.m.: Brunch – $30 per person

Brunch includes coffee, tea, bagels and other refreshments. Joint event with the Class of ’68. Location is TBD.
