Year End Highlights

At last night’s Board Meeting, we also reviewed some of the Association’s key achievements for this year and upcoming developments to look forward to:

  • We had our most successful fundraising year to date with the launch of the Baumel Legacy Fund and Irwin Zahn’s ’44 generous donation for the new Innovation Lab. We have another huge development for the Robotics program coming up – stay tuned for more details!
  • We’ve made the biggest overhaul of our IT system in our organizational history and launched MyStuy, a new integrated alumni portal that allows alums to easily update their profile and view donation history, gain access to exclusive events, and search for connections in our Alumni Directory
  • We’ve spent almost $800K in program expenses to support our missions of supporting the school and its students and building fellowship among alumni through events and communications
  • We are investing even more in our diversity program, StuyPrep, a free SHSAT test-prep program that helps students in underrepresented neighborhoods of New York City gain admission to the specialized high schools. We will be growing the program by 33% to 100 students this year. You can read more about the impact of StuyPrep here.
  • We are planning our biggest Reunion yet! Reunions 2018 will be taking place on November 24th! We have classes celebrating their 5, 10, 15, and 20 year reunion committed. If your class is also interested in being a part of Reunion 2018 – please reach out to [email protected].
